What to Expect During Your Visit
Before Your Infusion
A consultation with one of our providers is required before your first Plaquex session. During that visit, we'll review your medical history, discuss your goals, and make sure this therapy is safe and appropriate for you. On the day of your infusion, eat a light meal within an hour or two beforehand. Drink plenty of water the day before and the morning of your appointment. Wear something comfortable with easy access to your arm.
During Your Infusion
Plaquex is administered slowly through an IV over the course of 60 to 90 minutes. Because phosphatidylcholine is lipid based, the infusion rate is carefully managed to keep you comfortable throughout. Some patients notice a warm sensation, mild flushing, or light fatigue during the session. These are normal responses and usually pass quickly. Our medical staff monitors you the entire time.
After Your Infusion
Most patients are able to return to their normal routine right away. We recommend drinking extra water for the rest of the day and avoiding intense exercise for 12 to 24 hours. Some patients notice improved clarity or energy the same day, while others see the most benefit after
